One Big Room Studios now has TWO recording studios available!
One Big Room Modern is a complete Audio Post- and music production, mixing and mastering facility, with a newly-renovated control room, dedicated drum room and dedicated vocal booth. Whatever your audio needs are, we can make you very happy. From final mix, ADR and Sound Design to Music Scoring and full-blown Music Production we can do it all. One Big Room Modern is now also set up for podcast and remote recordings of all kinds.
One Big Room Vintage is a truly vintage 4 room facility located 500 meters down the road. It features a Yamaha C5 7-foot grand piano, a massive 60 square meter main room with high ceilings, a large control room, dedicated drum booth and dedicated secondary iso booth. The studio features a mint-condition 24channel Trident 86B desk and plenty of vintage microphones. This studio is perfect for choirs up to 30 voices, small classical ensembles and other larger-than-average groups.

Established in 2001 and located on a quiet hill in Silverton Ridge, an up-market residential suburb of Pretoria, it is very central yet removed from the buzz and tension of the city. 5 minutes from the city of Pretoria and 35 minutes from Johannesburg, both facilities are ideal for the artist or corporate seeking a quality production in a relaxed environment.
Our services include Audio Post services as well as music production & composition and all sorts of audio production, composing and arranging (for artists, jingles, film and TV), voice-over recording and mobile concert recording.

A Big room and a Big Sound. Ludwig Bouwer and One Big Room is an integral part of my final big sound and I would highly recommend its super creative and professional services. Though I mainly use One Big Room for mastering, it offers versatile production and musicianship in more genres and treds than I can name in just a short review. I was sooo happy to finally find a studio that felt like a home. A studio that took all my nerves away! I always look forward to my next session. But can I also mention that Ludwig is also a wonderful host, producer, sound engineer and musician. We recorded my first album here and it was mixed and mastered here. What a master piece we made! I’ve Been Working with Ludwig @ One Big Room Studio since last 3 plus years now. To be honest, Ludwig is one of the best Engineers I’ve ever worked with. As, He is an awesome Musician himself,( superb Bassist Too)he knows how to Get the Best out of you when you Do voicing or Recording your instrument.

I was introduced to Ludwig Bower in 2016 and I had a prieveledge to record and experience his warm personality. From that point till today, One Big Room Studios is my home for recording and mixing high Quality projects that are Aclaimed world wide. Eight years ago I had a live recording of an academic recital which I had just played. Several studios tried to get the mix I wanted out of it, but only Ludwig from One Big Room managed to get the right sound, first mix. Since then I have worked with Ludwig again and again. From start to finish I have entrusted many projects to him and will happily do so in the future. The best ears in the business, and always a happy working experience.
I travel from the UK to record at One Big Room Studios. I have recorded two albums to date. I am very grateful to Ludwig for all of his guidance, professionalism, commitment and suggestions when it came to my last two albums. Also, Ludwig is an amazing musician.
